Bruce Lewis - Realtor ®, GRI

Real Estate is serious business, but I also think it's important to enjoy the experience. I will work hard to make your transaction run as smoothly as possible. 

I believe strongly in on-going education. I hold my GRI (Graduate of Realtor's Institute) in Marketing and Finance. It's estimated that only 19% of realtors have undertaken the workload to earn this designation. 

In addition, I closely watch the Austin and Dripping Springs markets.  I keep up-to-date on the local and national economy and politics affecting the real estate market. 

Now a little about me.  I  decided at age 18 to join the United States Army.  It was likely the best decision I ever made. I spent four years in the service, even getting a tour in Korea.

I joined a major pool company when I returned home and worked my way up plumbing swimming pools to superintendent where I managed the builds of commercial pools at hotels and resorts, as well as high-end pools for the rich and famous -- and the not so rich and famous.  After meeting and marrying my wife, we moved to Seattle and I was in need of a new career.  Not much need for swimming pools in Seattle.   

I went back to school and became a residential and commercial Real Estate Appraiser.  I ultimately became responsible for training new appraisers joining the firm. When "flipping" was  more profitable and a guaranteed success, I combined my love of real estate, my knowledge of appraising and my construction experience.  I've demolished an entire 2,000 square foot home, down to the studs, and built it back up again. 

I am a strong believer that real estate not only provides a home for your family, but also a wonderful investment for your future.  I continue to invest in Real Estate and own rental property in South Austin. 

Basketball is my sport of choice. I have been a Texas Basketball Official for five years and referee all the way up to High School Varsity during the season.

Real Estate is in my blood.  I grew up in a real estate household.  My parents owned their own real estate firm and I grew up stuffing envelopes and delivering their Real Estate newsletters door-to-door. Thank goodness for technology and on-line newsletters.

And that's where I come in. After dragging Bruce to Seattle, I went to work at Microsoft where I spent 15 years - I am a child of the computer boom and the birth of the internet.  I bleed "Windows" even though Bruce bought a Mac.  I love technology and everything it affords us. I look for ways to use technology to market homes better, make transactions run smoother and keep everyone informed. It's my pleasure to serve you.
